Jeff, I can't even begin to describe how much you meant in my life. You were always a beacon of hope and happiness even in my darkest days. You were always there just when I needed you. You are an Icon and a Hero to me. My life is grander for having spent time with you, and a greater adventure for traveling its path even briefly at your side.

My mind is flooding with so many vivid memories of Jeff. Jeff at the piano singing or of him wearing his black hat with that special look but the one that comes to mind first is the look of happiness and the smile he would get on his face when sitting around the table in the morning drinking coffee and talking about Dana. He truly loved her. I am thankful for the time I got to spend getting to know Jeff in New Orleans. I will be there in spirit tomorrow, playing my favorite CD...Heaven in a Half Shell. Dana, look up because Jeff is Shining down on you. I love you, Janice

To my dearest sister and my most wonderful brother in law. My words can't describe the pain in my heart for both of you. You were so blessed to share the kind of love you had. Your love was what they wrote fairy tales and love stories about. I thank God that you were able to have experienced that kind of love. Jeff, I will miss you more than my words will ever be able to say, and so will the kids. They love you so very much. Dana, I will be here for you always. I love you. I am so sorry. Take care of him God, let him fill heaven with the music and love he shared with all of us.

god, i just heard some news that made me shake, and look back at the times i spent laughing, recording and talking with jeff. it made my world flash before my eyes. i know he will be missed by everyone that was lucky enough to get to know him or hear his music. my condolences to his family. always had the right thing to say to get a session in the right mood for success. a wonderful piano player. inspired me to set my guitar down for awhile and try tickeling the ivory. rhythm sparks fly, from his keys, making the sounds come to life and live forever. he will be so missed, but jeff's spark will always live on in all of us who were lucky enough to have known him.

Dearest Jeff: Of all the times I've had the pleasure of writing in your guest journal when visiting, this is by far the strangest... Remember your dream pictured on your cd? Looking out the window and vividly seeing the stars? I'll always see you in the dream in the sky in the stars. And i'll keep my eye on Dana for you. Keep her close. I promise. Shine.
